Sadness

And now, my friends, this is where I say farewell. I can no longer post or blog or whatever I'm doing. I am not allowed to anymore. That's it. I'm so sorry. I really am. I'm also sad (hence the title "sadness"). Maybe we can meet again. :(( good bye. :(

Sigh

Today was pretty normal/boring as always. I left my book at school (Rules to Rock By) so I have to read a different book tonight. I finished the Demon's Lexicon two days ago. It was so, so good. Maybe you know this maybe you don't but I take ballet and modern dance classes and after Monday of next week, there won't be any more classes until September. I am going to a couple dance camps in the summer though. Also there are only eighteen and a half days left in school! I am going to a different school next year. I will miss my friends so much. But hey, I still have you guys right?

2011 Book Count AND 10th Post

Woo hoo!! Ten posts!! It isn't anything too too special but I feel like I have accomplished something. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Anyway, I have been inspired by the blogs 2010 and 2011 Book Count (written by Steph)  to read 50 books this year (just like Steph). So far I have read twelve books. Okay so maybe I'm not off to a great start but if I read four or five books every month I can hopefully reach 50 by the end of the year. Hopefully. Also, as you can see I gave my blog a makeover. Like it?

Hmmm

Wow. I haven't posted since March 27 and it's April 23. Gosh. After all those apologetic words and promises to post more often I just didn't post anything whatsoever for almost a whole month. I'm on break too, so I have even more free time than I normally do. I feel like I should do something to make up for all this. Hmm... What to do, what to do. Ah! I've got it. As some of you may or may not know, I don't really like to write or share my writing with other people... soooooo I will step out of my comfort zone and write some poetry for you guys. Here goes nothing!

there is a word for all
some just can't hear it
or don't want to

those who can't
will find their word
and way someday

and those who just
don't want to listen
have chosen their path
and nothing can change it

Finished! that poem was very random and not like me at all, but whatever! It's a poem And it sounds nice and and yeah. So what do you think?

Sorry x 20

I know, I know. I haven't posted in forever. Sorry. So let me catch you up. I finished The Book Thief and Breaking Dawn and now I am reading Crescendo which is the sequel to Hush Hush. It is awesome. I stayed up until one o'clock reading it and I am almost finished. I find the type of book where you just keep reading and keep reading very enjoyable because the story is constantly moving and new layers and plot twists are being added without too much slow boring stuff in the middle. Once again, sorry! I will definitely be posting more to make up for the lack of posts. (Ha ha ha. I became a follower of my blog. XD)

Lacking Inspiration

Hooray! I finished Hush Hush (391 pages) yesterday! Now I am reading Breaking Dawn. So anyway I don't really know what to say and the only reason I wrote this post was to tell you that I finished the book I was reading as I promised earlier...
Do you ever find yourself lacking all inspiration whatsoever? What do you do when that happens?

Goals Month

In the beginning of March all of the children in my school are forced to come up with a goal and try to reach it by the end of the month. In the past I have had little goals like setting my clothes out before I go to bed or to learn a piece on the piano, but this year I have come up with a much better goal that will be fun to achieve. My goal for this month is to read at least five books over two hundred pages that I haven't read yet by the end of March. I have already finished one, Aces Up (272 pages), and I will tell you when I finish each book. The book I am reading now is called Hush Hush and I hope to finish it in two more days. Please, if you have any suggestions for books to read tell me in the comments.

Poems

Sorry about not posting for a while. So much for the posting once a week thing. I guess I have been lacking inspiration...*thinks* Got it. Today I will share with you a couple of poems that I like. Tell me what you think of them.

        St. Patrick's Rune
At Tara in this fateful hour,
I place all Heaven with its power,
And the sun with its brightness,
And the snow with its whiteness,
And the fire with all the strength it hath,
And the lightning with its rapid wrath,
And the winds with their swiftness along their path,
And the sea with its deepness,
And the rocks with their steepness,
And the Earth with its starkness
All these I place
By God's almighty help and grace
Between myself and the powers of darkness!

This Is Just To Say
 By William Carlos Williams
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet

and so cold

Six Words
Lloyd Schwartz

yes

Never?
Yes.
Always?
No.
Sometimes?
Maybe—

maybe

Yes—

Sometimes,

Snow Days

Snow day! To many kids this means no school and no teachers for the day. But most schools have to make up for these lost days by having school go into the summer, having classes on Saturdays, or getting rid of vacations.  I don't think any kid likes those ideas, but have you ever thought about the teachers? I'm pretty sure they don't enjoy teaching in their time off either. What are your thoughts on this, and if your school had to do one of these things (cut into summer, have school on Saturdays, or take away vacations) which would you prefer?

My Blog in a Nutshell

I have a blog to talk about books and other things. My goal is to post at least once a week or when I have some inspiration. So I will start off with telling you some of the books on my bookshelf at the moment.

   1. The Invention of Hugo Cabret -- Brian Selznick

   2. Unearthly -- Cynthia Hand

   3. The Lost Hero -- Rick Riordan

   4. An Abundance of Katherines -- John Green

And last but not least...

   5. The Hunger Games -- Susan Collins

All of these books are fantastic but my personal favorite is Unearthly. It is about a girl who is part angel and must figure out and fulfill her purpose on Earth. It is fabulous. (Wow, I used a lot of words that begin with f)
