St. Patrick's Rune
At Tara in this fateful hour,
I place all Heaven with its power,
And the sun with its brightness,
And the snow with its whiteness,
And the fire with all the strength it hath,
And the lightning with its rapid wrath,
And the winds with their swiftness along their path,
And the sea with its deepness,
And the rocks with their steepness,
And the Earth with its starkness
All these I place
By God's almighty help and grace
Between myself and the powers of darkness!
This Is Just To Say
By William Carlos Williams
I have eaten
the plumsthat were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

Six Words

yes
no
maybe
sometimes
always
never
Never?
Yes.
Always?
No.
Sometimes?
Maybe—
maybe
never
sometimes.
Yes—
no
always:
always
maybe.
No—
never
yes.
Sometimes,
sometimes
(always)
yes.
Maybe
never . . .
No,
no—
sometimes.
Never.
Always?
Maybe.
Yes—
yes no
maybe sometimes
always never.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about... check your email. It's under the subject "sorry"
"Six Words" is a nice poem. I like how you can say those words and they mean different things depending on how you say them.
